Introduction
We, a group of people dedicated to bringing the arts to Marbella are hoping to fulfill a long time dream of having an International Arts Festival.
The outline below is our vision and other pertinent details.

The Vision

Our dream of bringing an arts festival to Marbella began many years ago and
from that dream comes reality, a 3 day festival of Fine Art, Photography, Sculpture, Glass, plus performing arts will come to Marbella in June 2009.
Artists, from around the Costa del Sol will be invited to present their works of art and these will be adjudicated by a panel of 3 jurors; Loni Olfers from Houses of Art, Caroline Bowley of Decorate in Style and president of Women in Business , Jose Luis Hernandez, director of the Tourist Information Center. These jurors will choose the best artists based on their submitted photos. The selected artists will have the opportunity to participate in this amazing festival.
This event is anticipated to eclipse any art event that has been held in Marbella with visitors from around Spain & Europe attending.

A dazzling array of musicians & performers will be selected from mime, mini theatre comedians dance as well as action painters. Festival International de Arte Marbella will be a kaleidoscope of styles and fusion of colour.

The Look
Artists will exhibit in individual matching white tents and be required to be on site to meet with the public, answer questions, and to sell their works of art.
The exhibit will offer collectors a rare opportunity to discover and obtain interesting and affordable art.
Tent fees will be as low as possible so more artists may participate. There will be no commission charged.

Children
There will be a children’s tent with special activities as well as a youth art competition.

Local galleries will also be offered tents so they as well may benefit from the festival.

Bringing business together with the Arts
The business community will be invited to participate in this art extravaganza, by holding their own events to co-inside with the festival.

Promoting of the event
The event will be publicized in newspapers, magazines, internet, on television and radio, along with a huge e-mail campaign and the website, www.festivaldeartemarbella.com.
Plus, the tourist information centers will promote the event to their national and international contacts.

Artists as well, will promote the event in their own international communities and countries.
Posters and banners will be placed on the main street and the Alameda.
Invitations and brochures will be given to the public.
Logos of patrons and contributors will go on all printed material and the website with links.

Prizes
Prizes of 1st, 2nd and 3rd will be awarded to artists as well as specific company awards. Some artists will allow “silent auctions” on selected paintings for charity.

We expect the festival to be an annual event, to grow each year and to help Marbella towards its goal of making culture one of the many things the town has to offer.

FIAM will honor passionate and dedicated contributors to Marbella’s art community. The Arts Festival also expresses gratitude for contributions that directly support the Festival International de Arte Marbella and its mission.

Introducción

Nosotros,un grupo de personas dedicadas a traer el arte a Marbella,queremos cumplir el sueño de realizar el 1º FESTIVAL DE ARTE INTERNACIONAL DE MARBELLA.
Esperamos que os suscite tanto placer como a nosotros. Esta aventura necesita del apoyo de generosas contribuciones financieras.
En las siguientes lineas les manifestamos nuestros objetivos.

Visión General

El sueño de realizar un Festival de Arte en Marbella empezó a incubarse hace yá algunos años y finalmente ese sueño se hace realidad este 18,19,20 y 21 de Junio del 2009.
Todos los artistas potenciados son llamados a presentar sus obras de arte.Este cuerpo de trabajo pasará por una selección previa para asegurar una calidad aceptable y mantener la igualdad de oportunidades entre diferentes tendencias.
La información de los artistas no seleccionados,si el artista nos da su autorización,se mantendráan en nuestra base de datos.Teniendo así preferencia en años venideros.
Este evento es el resultado de la gran labor llevada a cabo por los artistas y organizadores culturales de Marbella, pudiendo llegar a ser uno de los encuentros culturales más importantes de la Costa del Sol.
Para ello, contamos con el compromiso directo del Ayuntamiento de Marbella y las Entidades Culturales con más peso de la zona.
La concurrencia multicultural en este enclave geográfico garantiza una afluencia internacional y difusión mundial.
Además de artistas clásicos y vanguardistas de las Artes Bellas,nos acompañaran a su vez profesionales de la Música y de las Artes Escénicas.

Espacio
El Festival tendrá lugar en ESPACIO ABIERTO,carpas blancas de 3x3 serán otorgadas aleatoriamente, con un coste mínimo para garantizar así la mayor participación posible. La organización no cobrará ninguna comisión del precio estipulado de cada carpa.
El artista deberá de estar IN-SITUS y localizable en cualquier momento. Será de su MÁXIMA OBLIGACIÓN hablar con clientes, contestar preguntas y vender su obra PROPIAMENTE.
.El IVA correrá de su cuenta.
El propósito es de ofrecer al coleccionista la extravagante y rara oportunidad de hablar directamente con el creador y de adquirir en EXCLUSIVIDAD originales a precio de coste.
Las Galerías privadas podrán aspirar a “un espacio”. Estas tendrán costes adicionales por tratarse de un colectivo.
Contaremos con una carpa cedida por la organización en la que se desarrollarán juegos y propuestas artísticas para el disfrute de los más pequeños.

Arte y Negocios Privados

Se realizarán exposiciones paralelas en Hoteles, Restaurantes, Cafes y Tiendas de prestigio garantizando la participación integra en este evento de Art-extravaganza y coexistir de una manera interactiva con el Festival de Arte.

Promoción del Evento

Este evento será publicitado en REVISTAS DE ARTE,ESPACIOS DE INTERNET,E-MAIL,RADIO y TELEVISION.
El DEPARTAMENTO DE TURISMO de Marbella ayudará a divulgar la información a todos sus CLIENTES NACIONALES E INTERNACIONALES.
POSTERS serán divulgados con meses de antelación en los principales CENTROS CULTURALES y principales CIUDADES ANDALUZAS..
BANDERAS INFORMATIVAS serán instaladas a todo lo largo y ancho de Marbella en fechas próximas y durante el evento.
Los ARTISTAS se encargarán de llevar la información a sus COMUNIDADES y PAISES DE ORIGEN.
Seremos reconocidos por las siglas FIAMAR.

Premios

Se otorgará un 1º,2º Y 3º Premio entre los artistas participantes.(estos premios nos se encuentran estipulados hasta la fecha.)
“Houses of Art”Galería de Arte situada en Marbella Club, uno de los resortes turísticos más importantes de la Región, concederá una exposición individual al mejor artista menor de 30 años.
Se puntuará la obra y su presentación.
Los artistas que lo deseen podrán donar obra para fines caritativos.”SILENT AUCTION¨”.

Aclaraciones

Sinceramente trabajamos con tesón para que este evento crezca y supere todas nuestras expectativas.
Esperamos de todo corazón que este proyecto cultural reuna cada año en la Costa del Sol pensadores y creadores con iniciativa propia,contando con un sector que sin duda es imprescindible en una sociedad moderna,avanzada y sin complejos.
Marbella tendrá el honor de contribuir directamente con la Comunidad de Artistas y llevar a cabo un proyecto tan solicitado.
